Officers of the Jackson Madison County NAACP Branch welcomed members of the news media today to continue celebrating the life legacy and holiday of Dr Martin Luther King Jr .
Jackson Overstreet with NBC Channel 39 and WBBJ reporters stopped by the branch office . NAACP Branch officers Byron Elam, second vice-president and Downtown Ricky Brown, public information officer, shared their continued efforts to share educate and promote Dr King's legacy and his life of service for people . From voting rights to campaigning against poverty to social justice, we are always in the struggle to bring justice to the people" said Elam. The local branch meets at 118 North Church Street in downtown Jackson.
