AUTISM SAFETY

April is Autism Awareness Month and Sheriff John Mehr wants Law Enforcement to be better prepared when responding to individuals with Autism.

Thursday May 17th from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Bart Barta will lead AUTISM SAFETY 101 at the new West TN. Regional Training Center, 317 Denmark-Jackson Road, Denmark, TN. 38391.

Law Enforcement & the public are invited to attend and there are no fees.

However, seats are limited.  To register email devans@mcso-tn.org or call 731-423-6130

*** Special note…..I have talked to Bart Barta and he will be a great interview if you want to go ahead and talk to him this month before he arrives.

He said he will be at the Training Center by 7:00 am on May 17th for early interviews and you can reach him at 305-733-0075,bart@autismsafety101.com.

As you might expect, Bart’s youngest Son has Autism so he is dedicated to “situational awareness.”

Barta is retired after 30 years in Law Enforcement in Florida as a Major in C.I.D. and is very passionate and quite articulate.
