Downtown Ricky Brown joined by volunteers of the “Downtown Ricky Brown Traffic Spotters Network, Constable Fred Cunningham and process server Dan Vaughn presented officers of the Jackson Police Department appreciation of outstanding services “
Brown said he appreciates daily the outstanding work of the Jackson Police Department and the sacrifices made to insure public safety in the City of Jackson.  Sometimes people behind the scenes such as the Central Records division with staff like Melanie Long, Wendy Pickett, Jennifer Knolton and Officer Julie Mullikin and Traffic enforcement Officer Cox !
As the DTRB Traffic Spotters Network has grown to over 1,730 volunteers this year we are ever mindful of our contribution to traffic safety in Jackson and Madison County” we strive daily to encourage traffic safety, reduce accidents, accurate traffic information and reporting of crashes and accidents to the media to help
The safe flow of traffic and protecting the accident scenes”
We are affected by traffic and we as citizens can contribute to traffic safety by obeying the laws and reporting any traffic problems, accidents to the proper authorities said Brown”
The central records division plays a key role in the maintenance and accuracy of public records for the citizens “ their work touches every person who comes into contact with the Jackson Police Department and they have consistently provided outstanding services to the citizens of Jackson”
For services above the call of duty, we appreciate our men and women of the Jackson Police Department “
