In recognition of National Heart Month, newborns throughout West Tennessee Healthcare will be doing their part to promote heart health. Throughout the month of February, newborns will receive special red hats, instead of the traditional pink and blue striped hats, to raise awareness on the importance of heart health from birth. Jackson-Madison County General Hospital earned a distinguished three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for patient care and outcomes in isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) procedures.The three-star rating, which denotes the highest category of quality, places JMCGH among the elite for heart bypass surgery in the United States and Canada.
