Not sure if I can do this if not please forgive me and take it down but on last Thursday night my son was on Highland coming south and a JPD got behind him and followed him and my son didn't stop until he felt safe and did I'm not going to get into detail about the situation but I can say this it was racial profile but the reason was not warrant for the pull over and the officer lied about why he pulled my son over for and have paper to say what he accuse my son of pertaining to his car and I know they get accused of a lot of things that's not true but on this time we have paperwork that's in compliance of the Tennessee Law and other things that he asked my son that was unnecessary and unprofessional, we as a community and those in law enforcement have to do better between each other and work together as a whole and stop the nitpicking and this is on both sides it's going to have to stop before it gets worse and it can be done if we work together and I say to those who don't know, know the Law so that you don't fall for anything that's being told to you by law enforcement because they don't expect for people to know and have knowledge of the law because knowledge is power and I'm not talking about being argumental with them but know the Law and my son didn't know and now he's scared to death to drive his car now because on that night he didn't know what was going to happen to him, just because he's driving a nice car which is a Dodge Challenger and he's a young black man who's works and is going back to college to get another degree and is God fearing young black man. I told him don't worry it's going to get better and the matter will be addressed.

This also happened to my son getting off workone night. He drives a mustang and the officer asked him if it was his car and how he got it, etc. Knowing that he had already ran his tags and got his name. This scared me to get a call from him at 1:30 in the morning when he got off work. They’re always in my prayers but something needs to be done about this.

Sunshine Rogers I'm sorry to hear that, as a black community we need to come together and address problem like this, I'm working on this type of situation so that it doesn't happen again because if we don't they're going to keep doing this and we can't let them get comfortable with doing this and to be held accountable for their actions, will be and will continue to pray for our young people because they are our future.
