Mary Joe Bonds Johnson, November 18, 1944 - May 28, 2022
Mary Joe Bonds Johnson was born in Madison County, Tennessee. She was the second child of Walter Bonds and Era ( Stinson) Bonds.
She was united in matrimony to L. W. Johnson, and to this union one son was born, Marcellaus Ladel Johnson was born.
Her father, mother, brother, (Andrew G. Bond), and sister, (Barbara Ruth Stewart) preceded her in death.
She began her career as an educator in the Humboldt City Schools, later moving to Kansas, where she continued her career in education. She also worked as assistant principal, serving her district for more than 31yrs, until her retirement in 2000.
Survivors include her son, Marcellaus, of Ohio, her brother, Walter Bonds of Jackson, TN, four grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Myles Johnson, Marianne Johnson and Marlon Johnson, all of Kennesaw, Georgia, several nieces and nephews including Angela Davis(Tyrone), of Kansas City and Andrew G.
