JACKSON, Tenn. - Hurricane Helene left widespread devastation in East Tennessee last week. Many of our fellow Tennesseans are without power, shelter, and other basic needs.
The Jackson Fire Department established a bottled water drive on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Since then, our community has come together and provided over seventy pallets of water to help ensure safe drinking water for East Tennessee’s citizens. The Jackson Fire Department’s bottled water drive will continue through 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Donations may be dropped off at any of our seven fire stations or our administration building.
To further assist in relief efforts, a collaboration has been formed between the Jackson Fire Department, Jackson Energy Authority, and Serra of Jackson. We will hold a specific needs drive at Serra of Jackson, 189 Stonebridge Blvd, Jackson, Tennessee 38305, this Saturday, October 5, 2024, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Jackson Energy Authority will be assisting Jackson Fire Department will distribute the items directly to the affected communities.
