JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Library has several ongoing programs for teens and tweens this month.
New Teen Space is now open! Ages 13 – 18. Monday - Wednesday 2-7; Thursday 2 – 6; Fridays 2-4; Saturdays 11-4. Hang out with friends, play Xbox games, puzzles, games, and computers available. Teen area is staffed by library personnel during open hours.
Teen Advisory Board Every 1st Wednesday at 3:45. November 6. Join us to give your input on future events, contribute to collection development, and earn service hours! Pizza will be provided! Ages 13 to 18.
Teen Cooking November 9 at 12:00 pm. We are going to make tacos and homemade tortillas!
Open Space Hours: Tuesdays, 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Saturdays, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Come use our supplies to work on your passions or try something new!
Brown Bag Book Club Every Wednesday 12:00 pm. November 6, 13, & 20. Teens and Tweens book club. Bring a lunch and chat about books, play games, and hang out with other kids who do school at home! Ages 11 to 18.
Game Nights are every first and third Thursday at 5:00 pm on October 3 & 17. Join us for board games of all kinds! Much more than your standard board games-- we have new and popular games galore!
NEW! Tween and Teen Sewing Every 3rd Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm. November 19. We will be making Christmas ornaments or stockings! All skill levels welcome. Bring your sewing machine if you have one, share one provided by the library, or sew your project by hand! Ages 11 to 18. Kids under 13 must have a parent stay with them.
