MOYA TRADED, IJAMES PROMOTED
Closer racked up 17 saves with a 0.82 ERA for the Generals
Jackson, Tenn. – The Arizona Diamondbacks announced a series of roster moves affecting the Generals prior to their game against Mobile Thursday night. Left-handed pitcher Gabriel Moya was traded to Minnesota in exchange for catcher John Ryan Murphy. Additionally, outfielder Stewart Ijames has been promoted to Triple-A Reno. Catcher José Queliz was reinstated from Visalia’s disabled list and promoted to Jackson.

The Diamondbacks signed Moya as a free agent out of Venezuela in 2012. He recently was ranked among Arizona’s top 30 prospects by MLB Pipeline.
