TWO MORE MEN CHARGED IN ONGOING SOUTH CARTHAGE MURDER CASE
SOUTH CARTHAGE – Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have secured indictments for two additional men in an ongoing Smith County homicide investigation.
On April 23rd, at the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Agents joined investigators with the South Carthage Police Department, Smith County Sheriff’s Department, and Robertson County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the murder of Jason Taylor Neusse (DOB 8-12-75). Authorities found the victim’s body in an old warehouse on Hunter Avenue, where he had been living. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information identifying James Murray (DOB 12-9-83) and Tommy Grisham (DOB 5-16-81) as two of the individuals responsible for the crime.
Last week, the Smith County Grand Jury indicted Murray and Grisham, charging each with one count of Felony First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Robbery. At the time of this release, both remained in the custody of the Smith County Jail without bond.
