Jackson, Tennessee (September 11, 2017) — Ayers Children’s Medical Center, the West
Tennessee Women’s Center and Monroe Carrell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will host
BabyBlast & Kidsplosion on Saturday, September 30 at the Jackson Fairgrounds. BabyBlast &
Kidsplosion is a fun, educational event for children of all ages as well as their parents, expectant
parents and the community. It is designed for the public to gain knowledge regarding children's
health and safety, information on healthy pregnancies and a list of resources and businesses
that are available in our West Tennessee communities.
“We are really excited to bring back the Teddy Bear Clinic again this year,” said Lynda Snider,
Nurse Clinician, Community Education of West Tennessee Women’s Center and Ayers
Children’s Medical Center. “We will also be celebrating our Neonatal ICU 25th Anniversary &
Reunion,” Snider said. This year’s event will include both educational and retail exhibitors along
with games and activities including a Mom & Me tea time, building fun with Home Depot, a
kids’ Zumba class, prenatal or postnatal yoga sessions and child safety seat checks.
Families are invited to attend this free event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
