Upcoming #JacksonTN Events from #MCSO

Oct. 1-4 at the WTRTC in Denmark “TACTICAL MEDICAL FOR FIRST RESPONDERS”.  Students will learn how to apply techniques to control life threatening bleeding during care under fire in a (HOT ZONE.)

                                                                        Students will demonstrate lifting, moving and extricating victims from a tactical or hostile environment during Tactical Evacuation Care.  (Lt. Joe Gill is your contact for

                                                                        Interviews.  This is a 4 day Class with the same subjects covered each day for a new group of students daily.

 

Oct. 2  is National Night Out Against Crime from 4-9 pm (times vary for each neighborhood group.)  Citizens are urged to meet (often with food and drink) to promote Unity and look out for each other.

Sheriff Mehr and many of his MCSO Deputies will be visiting various gatherings and encouraging them to organize a Neighborhood Crime Watch and stay active.  JPD will be doing the same inside the city while we concentrate  in the County.

 

Oct. 4   At 2:00 at the Penal Farm, 524 Westover Road, Tim Carothers, Re-Entry Coordinator for the Southwest HRA will hold a Graduation Ceremony  for 7 men who are completing the “Inside/Out Dad’s classes which helps men get a second chance in life.  The become better Dads, Husbands and citizens.  Family members attend and are blessed with the progress these men are making.  Several Community leaders attend including County Mayor Jimmy Harris, Jail Administrator Tom Rudder will represent Sheriff Mehr who has a special meeting in Nashville Thursday.

 

Tues, Oct, 9th –The Sheriff will conduct his 44th Community Meeting at 6:30 at the Fire Station #8  in Mercer. 11 Sturdivant Crossing.   Both newly elected District 7  Commissioners Billy Ellison & Terry Spearman plan to attend.

 

Oct. 10th MCSO will host the West TN  Criminal Investigation Division Association’s one day Seminar at the WTRTC from 8-5 .
