Celebration of Life

A native of Hardeman County, Dannie Mae Spencer Jarrett celebrated on Saturday,
April 14, 2018 with a “Surprise Party” thrown in her honor. She was celebrating her
“90 th ” birthday. She enjoyed the party with family, relatives, and friends at Durham’s
Community Center. Born April 17, 1928, she has been a lifelong native of Bolivar, Tennessee,
a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tn., and the proud mother of 9
children, 35 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren. Her
children pictured with her (left to right) Willie Woods (Bolivar, Tn), Priscilla Wooden (Jackson,
Tn), LaQuida Gray (Bolivar, Tn), Charity Carpenter (Memphis, Tn), Rochell Woods (Bolivar,
Tn), UL Woods (Florissant, Mo), Lorenzo (Gary) Woods (Bolivar, Tn), Dr. Vanessa Morrow
(Harvest, Al), and kneeling Robert Woods (Grand Junction, Tn) helped her to celebrated this
joyous occasion.
