Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Program Center of the Jackson-Madison County Library at 433 East Lafayette Street in Jackson, TN.
On August 13, Juanita Parham Shaw will present a program titled “Sharing Family History through the Generations.” In addition to her many responsibilities at Brooks Shaw and Son Old Country Store, Juanita finds time to research her family history. Her program will include how she was the one in her family who said yes to taking and keeping all prior family history and genealogy information as family members passed away. She will share how she stored the information away and finally started to dig through all the treasures that others had collected. Her presentation is about the rediscovery of the stories of her ancestors and how she is now equipped to share with future generations.
Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society’s annual membership dues are $20 and include quarterly issues of “Family Findings” published by the Society. Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to attend the meetings.
