Lock down lifted at Liberty Tech after police investigation

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson-Madison County School System officials have confirmed Liberty Technology Magnet High School was placed on a soft lock down due to a police presence nearby early Wednesday afternoon.
School system officials say police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Watson Road, near Liberty, and three people ran from officers.
The incident did not occur on school property.
Police say the investigation involved a stolen vehicle, which has since been returned.
