VFW Post 6496, 285 Airways, will host 10 to 12 children, ages 8 to 10 years old at 10:00 am on Friday, July 15.
The children, sponsored by the Salvation Army Jackson, TN, will tour the building and see photos and memorabilia from World Wars I and II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and more recent conflicts. They will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of veterans of the Korean War, Vietnam War, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bosnia. Following the tour and meeting veterans, the children will be treated to soft drinks and food.
