Get Ready to Spread the Holiday Spirit with Fayette Cares

A simple act of giving will help families in need this holiday season.  Join Fayette Cares in making spirits bright by supporting efforts to provide food and toy giving programs in on December 10th, and 13-14th.

There are many way to lend a hand.  Consider organizing a food & toy drive at your church, school or work.  Volunteer with family and friends to sort or pick up donated food & toys. Spread the word in newsletters, bulletin boards, & social media. Or even make a monetary gift to fund holiday gifts and year-round services for those in need.

Most needed food donations to complement holiday dinner baskets include: Canned Meats (Tuna, Chicken, Ham, Chili), Peanut Butter,             Evaporated Milk, Cereal, Oatmeal, Grits, Rice, Instant Potatoes, Stuffing Mix, Pasta, and Cake Mix.

Christmas presents for children 12 and under are also needed.  Suggested gifts include musical toys, craft sets, educational games and handheld games. Please include batteries if required. Infant and tweens (ages 8-12) tend to be the greatest need.

Donations should be delivered by Friday, December 2, 2016 to the Fayette Cares donation center, located at 13300 N. Main St., Somerville, TN, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Various volunteer opportunities are available to help prepare for the food and toy distribution.  Visit www.FayetteCares.org/Events, call (901) 465-3802 x 222 or email programsdirector@fayettecares.org for more information.  Fayette Cares, Inc. is a United Way agency.
