Museum of the Bible president to speak at Union luncheon April 12
JACKSON, Tenn. — Cary Summers, president of the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., will be the keynote speaker at Union University’s Faith in the Marketplace luncheon April 12.
“This event will allow business people, pastors, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, teachers, lawyers and service providers to reflect on how we serve in today’s society,” said Jason Garrett, dean of Union’s McAfee School of Business, which is sponsoring the event.
Summers oversaw the design and building of the 430,000-square international museum that opened in November and oversees the programming for the facility. He previously served as president and CEO of Herschend Family Entertainment/Silver Dollar City Corp., one of the world’s largest theme-attraction operators. He has also worked as a vice president for Bass Pro Shops and a general manager for Abercrombie and Fitch.
The luncheon will begin at noon in the Carl Grant Events Center. Cost is $20, and registration is available at www.uu.edu/events/marketplace. For more information, call (731) 661-5357.
