Jackson-Madison Chapter DAR Announces November 2019 Media Award Winner
Jackson-Madison Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution [NSDAR] announced the winner of the Award of Excellence in Outstanding Broadcast Media at their November 21st chapter meeting held in the Program Center of the downtown Jackson Madison County Library.
The Award of Excellence for Outstanding Print Media was presented to Lisa Adkins, contributor to VIP Jackson magazine
Jackson-Madison Chapter honors Ms. Adkins professionalism and dedication to print media and to our community.
DAR is known as the largest women’s patriotic organization in the United States and has over 185,000 members with 3000 chapters in 50 states and 11 foreign countries. DAR is one of the world’s largest and most active service organizations. DAR is non-partisan and non-political, and welcomes any woman, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineage to a Revolutionary War patriot.
