HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO OFFER PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE TO CHILDREN 6 MONTHS AND OLDER STARTING FRIDAY

 

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department will begin giving pediatric Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to children ages 6 months to 4 years starting Friday, June 24, 2022.

 

Children in this age group will receive three doses of pediatric Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The first and second doses will be given 3 to 8 weeks apart. The second and third doses will be given at least 8 weeks apart.

 

Pediatric COVID-19 vaccine will be given to children ages 6 months to 11 years on Fridays only from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment required.

 

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

 

Children may receive a COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines at the same time.
